The
Arc of Southeast Los Angeles County was founded in 1956
by a handful of dedicated and resourceful parents who
wanted educational and employment opportunities for their
sons and daughters. The Arc has a rich and successful
history of improving the lives of people with mental
retardation and their families. Today the Arc serves
over 400 children and adults with developmental disabilities
from 26 cities in the Southeast Los Angeles County area. The
Arc has a variety services developed to meet the needs
of the people we serve. We welcome you to our site

Arc
of Southeast Los Angeles County is committed to providing for people with
mental retardation and other developmental disabilities the ability to
form and work towards goals through training and education, based on their
individual abilities.
Arc
of Southeast Los Angeles County is further committed to helping to reduce
and limit the incidence and consequences of mental retardation through
education research, advocacy and the support of families, friends and
community.

the successful pursuit of quality and justice, Arc of Southeast Los Angeles
County will provide the leadership in the field on mental retardation
and develop and manage the necessary and human and financial resources
to attain it's goals.
