| Community Integration Program (CIT) |
The Arc's Community Integrated Training Program (CIT) is one of The Arc's newest services. The services focus on participants between the ages of 22 - 49 with an emphasis on exploring the community. This expanding services offers opportunities in the arts, culture education, hobby development and community experiences. The partipants gather in their own "Drop In Center" on The Arc campus, plan their day and then participate in the community utilizing one of The Arc's company vehicles.
Activities include: Los Angeles and Orange County museums, libraries, cultural centers, places of interest, craft activities and a variety of activities based on the wants of participants. |

| Day Training Activity Center (DTAC) |
| Day Training Activity Center (DTAC) - The overall goal of this day program is to have the students reach their fullest potential and to provide the adult students, ages 22 and older, with the necessary basic daily living skills for successful survival in the community. DTAC operates at a ratio of one staff to six participants and is an active service with participants utilizing both a classroom and the community. The participants have full use of The Arc's computer lab, several vans are available to transport to a variety of community activities. |

| Food Service Training Program |
| The Arc's Food Service Training program focuses on training particpants in the work skills necessary to work in the food service industry. Under the leadership of our Instructor, participants utilize our state of the art training kitchen that is fully equipped for instruction on all areas of food service. The new Reagan Banquet and Conference Center is attached to the kitchen and gives particpants a chance to utilize their skills as they serve participants from the other Arc programs. The service has an wonderful track record of training participants and placing them in food service jobs in the community. |

The Arc's Seniors Program - is open to seniors 50 years or older who wish to participate in community activities with other non-disabled seniors. The activities associated with the service are determined by the participants. The seniors meet at The Arc’s Senior Center in Downey across from our main campus and then head out for the day. This is a very active program that provides "retirement type activities in existing community settings five days a week.
Here are just a few of the activities that the seniors participate in:
Los Angeles and Orange County Senior Centers, Bowling, Chair exercises, Tai Chi, Sing-a-longs, Museums, L.A. Zoos, L.A. County Fair, Big Band Dancing, Movies, Bingo, Santa Monica Pier and much more. |
| The Arc's Supported Living service provides supports to individual wishing to live in their own apartment or with a roommate. The Arc provides an "Apartment Coach" to assist in a variety of areas of supported living. An apartment of my own is the pinnacle of independence and with the proper supports, The Arc makes it a reality. |
| The Arc provides transportation to Arc programs for Downey residents. A small, but vital service for the past 20 years ensures safe and reliable transportation on one of The Arc's company owned vans. |
